Home is a Feeling with Textured Houses

Hello, Samantha here today and I’m sharing a card I made for a friend who is moving in to a new home. I used a few Rubber Dance stamp sets which demonstrates just how wonderfully different sets work together.

My card blank measures 5 inches x 5 inches, because I used quite a wet method with distress inks creating the blue background I cut a slightly smaller piece of card and when dry and before adhering in place I gave it an inky border. I stamped directly on to the background with stamps from Weed Love stamp set and Vintage Postcard. Other background details are the hearts from Mix It Up 3 and some black inky splats. The house from Textured Houses and green leaves from also Mix It Up 3 were stamped on to white card, cut out and glued in place. The ground was made using a piece of card and distress inks and the spottly stamp, again from the Mix It Up 3 stamp set. Finishing touches are the sentiment which is from the Happy Place stamp set, which was white heat embossed on black card.
