Greeting Card with Stencil Background & Textured Mushrooms 2

Hey there, it’s Evi on the Blog today with a greeting card with the Textured Mushrooms 2 stamp set and the Mini Marks stencil und the Dotted 1 stencil in the background.

First, I took all the prints from the gelli plate, stamped the Textured Mushrooms 2 on them, cut them out, and glued them back together in various individual pieces. The result was beautiful, colorful mushrooms.

Then I started working on the background. I had the idea of a somewhat delicate background so that the mushrooms would really stand out. I placed the Dotted 1 stencil on top and painted over the lower half with green distress oxide. Then I applied the Mini Marks stencil, spread texture paste over it, and let it dry.

Once everything was dry, I stamped accents using the Mix It Up 5 set and then added pink and black splashes of color. I tied a matching pink thread around it, glued the words and mushrooms in place, and the card was ready.
