Birthday Card with Inky Background and Inky Flowers

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a Birthday card with an inky background, made with inks on the gelli plate, and stamps from our Inky Flowers and Kartengrüße stamp sets.

For the background of this card I used some lovely inks from Ferris Wheel Press together with the gelli plate. You can use this technique with any type of ink you have, e.g. with Ecoline, Colorex or other watercolor inks. A tutorial for the background is linked below!
I used a frame die to cut the background and mounted it to a card base using foam tape.
My focal image is a flower from our Inky Flowers stamp set. I embossed it with black powder and coloured it with the same inks I’d used for the background. I cut it out and adhered it to the card using 3d foam dots.
For the sentiment I used words from Kartengrüße.

Watch the process on how to make this card:

Here are some close-ups! The inks have some glitter in them an look super lovely! You can use my code JA-SUSANNE for a discount over at Ferris Wheel Press (it’s a Canadian company!).

I hope you like the card! Thanks for stopping by today! xx Susanne
