Inky Art Journal Page with Crayon Resist and Sketchy Leaves 7

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an inky and loose art journal page with a crayon resist technique, collage and stamps from Mix It Up 7 and our Sketchy Leaves 7 stencil.

I started the spread by applying some Neocolor I in orange and also some Neocolor II in a turquoise shade. Even if the Neocolor II are water-soluble, they will create kind of a ghost resist effect, too. I then added in some inks from Ferris Wheel Press. Of course you can use any type of ink or even watercolor to recreate the spread.
I let the ink flow and add water to thin it down. Once my spread was dry I did some background stamping with images from Mix It Up 7. Once the ink was dry I created a collage cluster and adhered an embossed image, made with our Sketchy Leaves 7 stencil, as my focal point. Here is a close-up of the finished spread!
