Art Journal Page with Watercolors & Pencil Marks 4

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a mixed media art journal page with a watercolor background using our Dotted stencil and stamps from Pencil Marks 8 and Mix It Up 7. The lovely flowers from our Pencil Marks 4 sets are used to create the little bouquet.

I started this page by applying black watercolor with our Dotted stencil. The page was primed with ultra mat medium before. I added some pink and green watercolors as well. To bring in some highlights I made some white paint splatters. Once dry I stamped a few of the small flowers from Pencil Marks 8 with watercolor, too. I finished the spread with a few bits of old book paper and a flower bouquet made with the flowers from Pencil Marks 4. To make each flower look a bit different you can bend the stem of them when adhering them to the acrylic block! In that way you can create a big variety of flowers. The vase is made from a watercolor background that I’d made with our Ornament stencil. The sentiment is stamped with letters from our A to Z stamp set.
