Art Journaling with Brushos and Stencil Texture

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an art journaling page using Brusho Pigment powders combined with our Dotted stencil, some background stamping and collage fodder with our Pencil Marks 8 stamp set. Scroll down for a quick process video!

I started the page by spritzing water through the Dotted stencil onto the page. I am working in a small watercolour journal. I removed the stencil and sprinkled some of the Brusho powders onto it immediately. I added a few spritzes of water around the texture I got to let that blend into the background. I let that dry before I used some stamping to add more textured. I picked images from Mix It Up 5 together with a teal and dark red ink. I made some splatters using similar watercolors.
Once the background was dry I adhered a few bits of collage paper bits and my focal image – a leaf from Pencil Marks 8 embossed on a gelli print background. I finished the little spread making a title with words from our Mix A Sentiment stamp set.
