Art Journal Tutorial with Textured Mushrooms 2

Hey, it’s Evi on the blog again and today it’s getting wild. I designed my first art journal page and used the Textured Mushrooms 2 stamp set and the Wheels stencil, among other things and I’ll show you here how I designed it.

First I coloured the background in my journal with different autumn colours of Distress Oxide. For the contrast, I coloured a paper with pink and light green splashes onto which I stamped the mushrooms and heat embossed them. On the background I applied stamps from the Mix it up 5 set and to add texture I brushed a texture paste over the Small Triangles stencil.

Then I added some accents with the Wheels stencil and used the Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil to draw a leaf with a black fineliner on transparent paper.

Then I looked for a matching sentence from Mix a Sentiment and started to stick everything on…
