Junk Journal Page with Watercolors & Textured Mushrooms

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an autumnal mixed media art journal page in my handmade junk journal using some homemade washi tape (video linked at the end of this post), watercolors and stamps from our Textured Mushrooms 2 set.

I started the page by adhering some strips of the washi tapes. I covered the pages with a layer of clear gesso, to make sure the tape is protected against the watercolors. My plan was to create a night scene with some of my mushroom collage fodder I created some weeks ago with our Textured Mushrooms 2 (video is linked at the end).
I used mainly granulating watercolors in blue and a dark green shade. To make it more interesting I added a bit of pink. To make the background more textured I stamped the butterfly wings from Mix It Up 6 and did some mark making with Neocolor II crayons and a neon pink acrylic marker.
