Create a Bouquet with our Loose Florals – Art Journaling Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a mixed media art journal tutorial with our wonderful Loose Florals stamp set. I am working with Neocolor II crayons and a bit of collage. It’s a perfect project for art journaling beginners. Scroll down to watch the video.

I started this project by stamping a gelli print with images from Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6 to use it for the collage background. Additionally I also used some other gelli printed scraps. I used clear gesso to adhere the pieces to the page.
Whilst the collage was drying I prepared my flowers. I stamped them to watercolor paper with Versafine Clair ink in black and colored them in loosely with watercolors.
Again, whilst waiting for the flowers to dry I played with some Neocolor II Crayons on the page. I used blue and green shades and blended them with water. Once this was dry I used our Leaves 2 stencil and removed some of the color with a babywipe through the stencil. This gives a really lovely background texture.
I stamped the leaves from the set to the background with black ink and then arranged my cut out flowers on top. I made some color splatters and stamped the title and also the butterflies to the spread.
