Deep In The Forest Journal Page Tutorial with Inky Mushrooms

Hi there everyone! Today I’m sharing an autumnal art journal page tutorial using the Inky Mushrooms stamp set. I’m a mushroom fan! They’re so beautiful, special and real survivors!
However, I confess I know little about wild mushrooms, except for ink mushrooms, of which we have plenty in our yard. 😀

I used to think that multicolored mushrooms were only in the imagination of the creators, but a few days ago a Hungarian lady in Virginia shared this picture. Yes! They do exist! I’ve never seen anything like it. 😀

In the video below, I show you how I created my journal page and the colourful mushrooms 😀

I created a simple collage background, which I then coloured a little with paints and a stabilo woody pencils.
I applied the Big Ovals stencil with Distress Ink to the page in a few places. It gives it some playfulness.
I stamped two of the mushrooms from Inky Mushrooms 1 on a thin sheet of book, which I waterproofed with gesso beforehand.
I used a wet brush to go around the pattern and tear the paper by hand to make it not so regular.
Finally, I coloured the mushrooms with watercolour.

Thanks for stopping by! Hugz,

Szilvi
