Loose Art Journal Page with Pencil Marks 3

Hi there, Susanne here with an easy and playful art journal spread using watercolors, mark making and images from our Mix It Up 1 and Pencil Marks 3 stamp sets. Of both sets there are just a limited amount left! These will be retired once they are gone! Scroll down for a process video.

I am working with watercolors in usual sketchbook (no watercolor paper). I start by wetting and area on my paper and lay down the colours with scribbly marks. To create texture I also use some granulating watercolors which show up so nicely on this paper. I add even more interest with some colour splatters in pink and orange.

Once everything was dry I added more colour with a pink and white gouach stick. I also make some loose and scribbly marks with a light blue Neocolor crayon. As my focal image I am using the botanical stamp from our Pencil Marks 3. I stamp it directly to the page using black ink. I add some more background stamping with an image from Mix It Up 2. I am finishing up my page by making some dot patterns over the white gouache areas with a Posca Paint pen.
