Easy Art Journal Idea with Carved Collection 4

Hi from Åshild! I am sharing a clean and simple art journal page today, using the tree stamp from Carved Collection 4 together with the brand new Stars 1 stencil. I am using a sketchbook from Royal Talens. Scroll down for a process video!

I have a question for you: What do you do when you experience a creative block?

I’ve had a block for several weeks now and it kind of drives me crazy! I know it doesn’t help to push myself – that only makes the block heavier. But I know that creating in my tiny art journal has given me so much joy, so I just had to give it a try. Intuitive play, no plans, no pressure – just using techniques and stuff that I love.

And it worked! Using the new stencil from Rubber Dance – Stars 1 – and the perfect autumn tree stamp from the design Carved Collection 4, it got me going! I played with smooshing Distress Ink for the background, creating stars with white acrylic paint, splashing dots with Posca pens and stamping the tree and a word. And, the most magic part of it: Removing the masking tape 🙂
