A Fabulous Postcard with Inky Friends

Hello, Samantha here today and I’d like to share with a tutorial showing how I made this postcard, using two Rubber Dance stamp sets; Inky Friends and Sketchy Flowers 2.

I began by using an embossing folder to create lots of background texture. I painted the white card with a grey before embossing and highlighted the raised areas with white paint after embossing.

I then stamped this beautiful image from the Sketchy Flowers 2 set, this stamp is 5 inches by 5 inches, it’s good to use a stamp platform for big stamps so you can ink and stamp again in case you missed a bit.

Using watercolours I coloured the flowers and trimmed them. I did the same with the beautiful Peacock butterfly stamp from the Inky Friends set.

To finish I added some black inky splats, the text – also from the Sketchy Flowers 2 set and adhered everything in place.
