Greeting Cards with Distress Ink Background and Loose Florals

Hi there, Susanne here with some fun greeting cards using our brand new Loose Florals clear stamp set on a Distress Ink background, that is textured with our Marks 3 stencil and images from Mix It Up 6. Scroll down for a glimps into the process!
I started these cards with some Distress Ink backgrounds made with Rusty Hinge and Peacock Feathers. I pressed the ink pads to my craft mat, spritzed it with water and dipped in my paper. I am using Canson XL watercolor paper. I’m repeating this process with both inks. I dry the layers inbetween to build up depth.

For some striking texture I used our Marks 3 stencil together with black soot. Watch my process clip to see how I did this!
To finish the card backgrounds I added some extra textured with stamped images in black from our Mix It Up 6 stamp set. and also some collage with my handmade washi tape (tutorial is here). I then cut the backgrounds with a deckled edge frame die and my Sizzix Big Shot. I adhered each of them to a simple white card base.
My flowers are stamped to gelli prints. I added some extra color with acrylic markers. I arranged the flowers together with a sentiment (from Sketchy Flowers 3) on the cards.

I drew the stems of the flowers on the following card with a black watercolor pencil. To get an intense line I dipped the nip into water.

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!
xx Susanne
