Easy Greeting Cards with Watercolour Background and Textured Birds – Video Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here with two cute and easy watercolour greeting cards using our Textured Birds 2 stamp set. I am sharing a super easy and quick way on how to make some unique greeting cards with a watercolour background. To add some extra highlights I am using glitter markers to set some accents.

For the background of the card I am using watercolour paper that I dipped into watercolors. I am sharing how this process works in my video which is linked underneath. The birds are stamped onto some white card stock and also coloured in with the same colours, I used for the backgrounds. To add some highlights to them I coloured in parts of the birds with Glitter Markers. I also added some hand-drawn hearts with these markers to the background.

For the greeting I stamped the sentiment with a light colour and write over it with the glitter markers. That looks like it was handwritten! You can use this technique with almost every steniment. Just use a very light ink.

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!

xx Susanne
