Greeting Card with Stencil Background and Inky Flowers

Hi from Åshild! Today I’ll show you a card that is easy to make. All you need is masking tape, inks, blending tools, a stencil, stamps and pens. I’ve used inks from Altenew, and the Cross it stencil and the beautiful Inky Flower stamps.

First of all I mask the edges of a white cardstock, and then I use the blending tool to add color to the cardstock. You can use any inks that are suitable for blending, e.g. the Distress Inks or Oxides.

I use the Cross it stencil to add texture to the background.

I add even more texture with a stamp from Mixed Media Marks 1. I spritzed the stamp with a little bit of water to make it interesting.

Then I remove the masking tape and stamp my flower – I love that parts of the flower is stamped outside the colored part. If you have issues to remove the tape use your heat tool to warm the tape, it will then lift super easily.

Add some white details and a text and some pearls if you want to. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today!
