Use your Stamps with Stamping Foam

Hi, it’s Åshild that will show you today’s project. I don’t know if you’ve tried the Stamping Foam from Simon Hurley? If not – I can tell you, and show you, how cool that thing is together with the Autumn Leaves and the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp sets! You can make the coolest backgrounds, I promise you. I’ll show you, step by step, how I created mine.
- First of all you need to heat up the foam.
- Then you press the stamps firmly into the foam.
- If you don’t like the outcome, you just warm up the foam and start all over.
- Add ink to the foam. You can use multiple colors if you want to. And spray some water if you want the background to look more like watercolor.
- You can also dab collage stamps directly on the foam to remove some of the added ink and create a more interesting background.
- Stamp on cardboard.
- You can use some collagestamps and add more stamped details to the background.
- Cut a mask (printpaper) so that you can stamp into the heart without destroing the background.

- You can dab some ink on to the acrylic block, spray some water on the block and stamp color to the white in the heart.
- Draw a frame with a black pen.
- Color the bird with color pencils.
- Mount the card together and add a text.

Unfortunately the Textured Birds 1 are no longer available in the clear version (just as a rubber plate)! You might like our new Textured Birds 2 set instead.
