Mixed Media Gloss Tag with Loose Florals

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with a tutorial for a mixed media tag using Dina Wakley’s Media Gloss Sprays, stencil masks and lots of collage bits and bobs.

For the tag background, I used a piece of card coloured with Dina Wakley’s Media Gloss Sprays and masks from the Sketchy Leaves 4 stencil set. You can see the process in a previous blog post HERE.

I added interest to the tag background, with stamps from the Mix It Up 2 stamp set.

Then had a rummage in my stash of pre-prepared focal images and came up with some flowers from the Loose Florals stamp set stamped on coral-coloured gelli print offcuts.
I wanted an element in black ink to draw attention to the colours, so I stamped a “washi” strip on tissue paper.
Then found some mesh fabric, thread and sequins in complementary colours.

Time to stick down the various collage bits & bobs and fabric and add the ubiquitous stitching around the edge of the tag!
I also added the gems and sequins.

Here’s a couple of close-ups …

Thanks so much for joining me today! Look forward to seeing you again soon 😊
