Dry Embossing with Stencil – Whale Wishes Greeting Card

Hi there! Susanne here and I’d like to share a fantastic technique today how you can use our new stencils! Have you ever heard of dry embossing in a die cutting machine with a stencil! Yes! You heard right. You don’t need an embossing folder! A stencil works just fine. No idea how this is done? I’ll tell you!

I used some simple white cardstock for my background, cut it to size and embossed it with my Big Shot. Here is the sandwich you have to put together:

Use your base plate on Tab 1 and then build up the following:

  1. Clear cutting plate
  2. Stencil
  3. Cardstock
  4. Silicone Rubber
  5. Impression Pad

That’s it! Roll it through your machine et voilá:

After I did the embossing I placed the stencil onto my background again and inked it up with Distress Inks and Oxides. To finish up my card I used stamps from our Whale Wishes stamp set.

Here is a quick process video on how the embossing is done:

This card goes well with our June Moodboard challenge! Don’t forget to enter the challenge! We only draw a price when we have enough entries. If we don’t pick a winner we will put the participants into the next months draw! So you won’t miss the chance for the price!

Have a wonderful weekend! xx Susanne
