Hi there, Susanne here! I’m sharing a set of two mixed media icads using stencil texture combined with acrylic inks and collage fodder. I am creating a grungy background by combining bright colors with black ink and some stamping. To finish up the cards I use collage fodder made with our Sketchy Leaves stencils and some words from Mix A Sentiment and Mixed Sentiments 1.

Hi there, Susanne here! I have another mixed media Icad to share with you today. As the base I used a background that I’ve made with our Rainbows 1 stencil and Brushos. I covered a part of it loosely with acrylic paint. I love how the colorful background is showing through. For more texture I added some stamping, color splatters and collage before I placed my main images.

Hello, Samantha here today and I’m sharing a card that could be used for lots of different occasions just by changing the sentiment. I started by cutting a piece of white card slightly smaller than my card blank which is 5 inches by 5 inches. I painted some black gesso and splashed some white paint. I stamped the rainbow, clouds and sentiment on white card and coloured the rainbow and clouds using watercolours. When cut and adhered in place I added finishing touches of glitter, star sequins and enamel accents.

Hi there, Susanne here with two mixed media journaling cards using birds from our Sketchy Birds 2 stamp set. For the cards I made a background from colorful paperscraps and design paper. It’s one of my favourite ways to start a mixed media piece, no matter if it’s an art journal page, an artist trading card or any other project.
