Hi there, Susanne here with a quick and easy abstract collage that is done in one of my small spiral bound sketchbooks using handpainted/ handstamped papers. I used stamps from Carved Collection 1 and a lot of mark making. I love these little art journals as the pages are not very big. This is the perfect size to make some art that takes not too much time.

Hi there, Susanne here with a beginner friendly art journaling tutorial using collage, Distress Crayons and stamps from our new Pencil Marks 7 stamp set. I am building an easy background with neutral paper scraps from old books, stationery supplies and some left over paint paper. For the background I used collage paper combined with softpastels, liquid charcoal, stamps and mark making. You can apply this technique to any kind of mixed media project. It will work perfectly on an art journal page, as a greeting card background and for artist trading cards.
